Nelson's only dedicated blues club with one goal! Come along and play, sing, dance or just enjoy the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere in your own club environment with a licensed bar available courtesy of our partner The Honest Lawyer Pub.

Do you like Blues music, live and intimate? And how about a friendly relaxed atmosphere, great company, entertaining club jam nights and bands performing live shows in a unique and rustic venue with style?
Monthly Jam nights, special events including local and international blues artists,workshops and a School Of Blues. All this in our very own "House Of Blues" our beloved BARN, an old rustic building located at the rear of The Honest Lawyer Pub, Monaco, Nelson
JAM Nights And Events
We hold monthly Club/Jam nights on the THIRD Thursday of each month from 6.30pm These are well supported and mostly 'full house' nights so be early for the best spot.
The Tasman Bay Blues Club actively promotes International and national Blues Artists to play at The Barn, and we have had some great gigs so far, check out the Past Events page under Events for what has been and keep up with NEWS for upcoming events.
One of the things that makes our club special is we have our own dedicated 'home of the blues'
In association with The Honest Lawyer Pub this venue has a licenced bar, huge barn doors which open out in the summer months and heating for the winter. Food can be ordered from the Pub and consumed at the venue.
We can cater for around 80 people in concert style seating, more in the summer, as fans sit outside as well. For smaller events we can offer table seating.
International artists are already booking The Barn as part of their NZ tours. What a great benefit this is for the club, making the annual fee great value.
